A 26-year-old Michigan man, Jibreel Pratt, has been sentenced to nine years in prison by the U.S. Department of Justice for attempting to conceal cryptocurrency donations intended for ISIS, a designated foreign terrorist organization. Pratt pleaded guilty to two charges related to the scheme.

Court documents reveal Pratt unknowingly communicated with an undercover FBI source, discussing violent operational plans and seeking assistance to join ISIS abroad. The case highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to monitor and disrupt illicit crypto flows tied to terrorist activities.
